24-inch iMac, at last

Last night, Apple released my dream computer. The 24-inch iMac, powered by a Merom Core 2 Duo processor, at the low low price of SGD$3,388. It's now no longer a question of what new Mac I will get, or whether I even should, but when and how bloody soon. I was at the site yesterday afternoon and the top-of-the-line 20" iMac model was $2,888. By midnight it was $2,588, and up to 50% faster to boot. The cheapest entry-level 17" iMac now starts at $1,688, also with a Core 2 Duo chip, but only an integrated graphic processor. That is amazingly cheap, and I don't think anyone should be considering a PC/Dell at this point when you consider what you get for that price. See for yourself.
